At your first visit to our office, we will take a complimentary digital panoramic x-ray and photos of your face and teeth to augment the information gained during the clinical exam. Dr. Blase will review this information with you and discuss treatment timing and treatment options, after which he will address any specific concerns you may have about your orthodontic care. Dr. Blase and a treatment coordinator will guide you through the choices specific to your case, including the cost for each treatment option.
The banding appointment (when you get your braces, expander, etc.) usually takes from one to two hours. You will then see us at regular intervals that are generally 6 to 8 weeks apart for an adjustment that takes 20 to 40 minutes. We are sensitive to the desire to minimize time away from school for most of our patients, therefore we reserve the before- and after-school appointments for shorter procedures. You can anticipate missing school for only two or three appointments throughout the entire orthodontic experience. We ask you to arrive on time and pride ourselves on our punctuality. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately.
